Job Description: Business Development Professional
Position Summary:
Habitation Design is among the foremost interior design firms in the Twin Cities. Specializes in high-end residential and commercial (multi-family) interior design and furnishing procurement, Habitation is located in the newly remodeled District Edina building alongside building and remodeling showrooms including Puustelli Kitchen Design and 9 Mile fine art gallery.
Habitation currently seeks to deepen its involvement with the Minneapolis and St. Paul residential construction and remodeling industries. The Business Development Professional is responsible for identifying and pursuing potential partners and clients via independent networking, leveraging existing assets and developing and implementing general sales and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify and research potential partners and clients, and develop a comprehensive understanding of their needs and objectives

Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to target new business opportunities

Negotiate and close deals with potential partners and clients

Maintain and update a database of potential partners and clients

Work closely with the sales, marketing, and management teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and identify opportunities for the company to capitalize on these trends

Attend industry events and conferences to network and identify new business opportunities
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in the residential construction / remodeling or interior design industry

Bachelor's degree

Strong research and analytical skills

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office
